Las Vegas

Las Vegas at a Glance

Only about 4miles long, “The Strip” may not be the biggest piece of road in Las Vegas, but they sure know how to use it. With the over-the-top hotels and casinos with “fantasy turned reality” luxuries (not to mention seizure-inducing lighting systems), one could make a solid case that Vegas is compensating for something.

A complete sensory experience, Las Vegas is infamous for nightlife that can satisfy every taste. Pre-party in the casinos and score with Lady Luck at the craps tables (or Black Jack, if you’re not into the ladies) before you attack the all-you-can-eat buffet or the hottest celebrity chef’s new restaurant. Rub elbows – at least – with the VIPs on the strip and in the “Fruit Loop”: Sin City’s circle of gay bars and clubs. But why just listen to all your favorite divas when you can see them live?! Vegas has seen shows from pretty much every gay icon from Babs to Bette, Celine to Cher, Garland to Gaga; plus headliners, Cirque du Soleil, stripteases and everything in between. Strolling back to your hotel as the sun rises (and past a gang of Elvis impersonators), weigh in on the ultimate Vegas debate: Sleep, or rejuvenate in one of the decedent spas – you are in a desert oasis after all.

Often overlooked, Sin City boasts a slew of daytime activities too (besides the poolside bar). You could check out fine art galleries, world class shopping, a 360-degree shark tank, even museums. Yes – museums! Granted, they might still have that classic Vegas pizzazz (e.g. the Liberace museum), but they do exist. For those outdoor types, head off the Strip for a hike in Red Rock Canyon or play a few rounds on the stunning golf courses. Consider it the side-trip with photos you can show at work. Cause “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” … as long as you delete the evidence first. Wait, who’s got the camera?!

Where to Play

When you’re not playing at the tables, there’s always a million other distractions to strive for your attention. Maybe it’s the oxygen pumped into the air, but the late nights here seem to go all hours. From the frenetic to the mild, you won’t be at a loss for a good time.

Get Your Groove On

Piranaha Nightclub and 8 ½ lounge

Piranha Nightclub is packed 7 nights a week with hot staff and freaking amazing men! The line stretches to the street by 1:30am and they are usually open till the sun comes out! This is where you can party “Las Vegas” style.

Neighborhood Gem

Badlands Saloon

953 E. Sahara Ave.

    Snick’s Place

With all the great places in LV, this place is not to miss. A local  hangout that welcomes everybody. Snick’s has the distinction of  being the oldest gay bar in Las Vegas.

Levis and Leather

    Fun Hog Ranch

The Ranch attracts patrons with a casual and festive atmosphere. The ranch’s unique Central Las Vegas location makes it easily accessible to the entire city and surrounding suburbs. Exposed wood, booths and a rustic atmosphere provides for a laid back attitude. Fetish wear/leather is strongly encouraged but street wear can be sexy and fun too.

    Buffalo
